So, you’ve decided to make the leap. You’re ready to discover the many benefits of cannabis, but you’ve never set foot inside a dispensary before and want to know what to expect. Well, you’re in luck! Here’s a handy guide to help you start your journey.
Before You Visit
Recreational cannabis is legal in the state of Washington, but when making a purchase, you need to bring a few specific items. You’ll need a government ID and cash. To explore our offerings and to make sure you bring the right amount of money, you can check out the Kirkland menu or the Bellevue menu before your visit. You may even want to consider leaving some wiggle room in your budget for new discoveries. You never know what must-have new treat you might encounter as you explore the store.
Inside The Store
Higher Leaf has two convenient locations in Kirkland and Bellevue. There’s convenient parking and clear signage, so you don’t have to worry about grabbing a space or getting lost. Inside, our clean, airy shops, you’ll find menus and display cases full of various strains, edibles, topicals, concentrates, and all the gear necessary to make your next cannabis session fun and carefree. Make sure to sign up for a punch card on your first visit so that you can receive 20% off on select items on your fifth visit.

At both of our Higher Leaf locations, we have many knowledgeable and friendly budtenders who are happy to help you with your purchase. Know your favorite strain? Perfect! We’ll get it right over to you. Need a little extra help? Or want to try something new? Ask your budtender about the day’s featured strains. We’re happy to jump in with suggestions and advice. Our budtenders have years of experience, and we embrace the philosophy that there are no stupid questions. We all have to start somewhere. Ask away.
Know Your Strains
It’s a brave new world for marijuana strains, and there may be more options than you might expect if you’ve never enjoyed before or if it’s been awhile. The main thing to know is that there are three types of cannabis: Indica, Sativa, and Hybrid. Indica is a whole body relaxing high, often used for pain. Sativa is an energizing, focused head high.
